1 more SC-1 day - Mark Sanford and Elizabeth Colbert Busch are closing out their campaigns for the 1st District today and tomorrow as voters head to the polls tomorrow. Colbert Busch was joined by Georgia Congressman John Lewis over the weekend, and Mark Sanford is showing some late momentu in a new PPP poll out yesterday, which shows him up 1 point on Colbert Busch in the final days of the race. Colbert Busch also secured the endorsement of the Post and Courier, which said "Ms. Colbert Busch’s resolve to reach across the aisle would serve the 1st District — and the nation — well." The other major paper in the district, the Beaufort Gazette, released its endorsement of Mark Sanford today.

Dems, Repubs converge on Cola - Democrats and Republicans met (separately, of course) in Columbia this weekend for each party's annual state conventions, where they elected new party officers and heard from some national VIPs who jetted in to kiss the ring of key constituencies in the unofficial kick-off of the 2016 presidential primary season, where South Carolina continues to play a big role for its first-in-the-South primary contest.

TIF tiff - The Beach Co. is contending (P&C) that last week's ruling against moving forward with the proposed Kiawah River Plantation TIF runs counter to county council's previous decision to dedicate $120M to the Ingleside neighborhood in North Charleston in 2011.

Intermodal - Talks are ongoing (P&C) between local and federal officials over plans for a new multi-use transportation hub in North Charleston after initial plans to more forward with the proposal were stalled weeks ago.

Manor to get 2nd chance - After its nine episode first season wrapped on TLC last week, it was announced on Friday that the network's Myrtle Manor pseudo-reality show based in a Myrtle Beach trailer park will get a second season. Lucky us.
