The College of Charleston Cougars may have rounded out a promising season, with Earl Grant coach his team to its first CAA title game, but alas they didn't earn the Colonial's automatic bid to the Big Dance. But they did earn a bid to the top consolation tournament, the National Invitation Tournament, which pits the nation's 'next-in' teams against each other for postseason play. (Full bracket here.)

Tonight, the Cougars (25-9) play the Colorado State Rams in Fort Collins, Colorado. Tip-off is at 9 p.m. ET and the game can be streamed on ESPN3 via the ESPN app on your mobile device, smart TV, or Roku/Chromecast/etc. @CofCBasketball says Cougar Club fans are gathering at Kicken Chicken in West Ashley to watch the game.

CofC is playing from the 5-seed in a branch of the NIT bracket that also includes Cal, BYU, Akron, and Houston. With two wins, the Cougars would head to NYC to play in Madison Square Garden next week. Back in 2011, CofC went on a strong run into March in the NIT behind the Andrew Goudelock-led team coached by Bobby Cremins.
