As the tour guides tell the story, Blind Tiger was once a speakeasy that Charlestonians visited for a chance to see the mythical tiger while sipping complimentary, albeit contraband, cocktails. These days, gone are the teetotalers, but Blind Tiger is still serving up the booze. Grab a drink from one of the two bars in the front of the Broad Street storefront or step onto the shaded patio and sneak a nip at the back bar, one of the best outdoor spots you’ll find downtown. Need a bite to eat? Blind Tiger offers up plenty of small plates, salads, and entrees, including juicy burgers many of us have come to love. —Sam Spence Dish (Summer 2015)
