What do you think would happen if you put 63 kids in a room, four times a week, for three weeks? It turns out if Charleston Stage is involved, you’ve got yourself a play. Summerstage is a kids’ camp open to children from kindergarten through high school taught by six college graduates and Charleston Stage’s education director. The camp uses its limited time to put together a full-fledged show. This year’s show is Alice in Wonderland Jr., an adaptation of the original meant for kids. “This is a way for us to introduce theater to the youth in the community and get them excited about the arts and learn the responsibility of being involved in a production,” says Marketing Director Beth Curley. The show is about 70 minutes long and will feature actors from second to 12th grade.
Price: $20.50/adults, seniors, and students
