The folks at Awendaw Green recently arranged an ongoing concert series at the roomy Hippodrome (360 Concord St.). Presented on select Thursdays and a few additional dates, the series offers a chance to catch some of Charleston’s stand-out original rock, pop, blues, and Americana acts, as well as a few up-and-coming bands in the region. The venue is set up with steep stadium-style seating, so there’s almost no bad spot in the house. On Sat. April 28, the series continues with a show featuring indie pop singer/songwriter Steven Fiore, a scene veteran who recently signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing and mixed a forthcoming studio album titled Youth and Magic. Fiore and his band will share the stage with the Lovely Few.
