It’s stupid to ask this, but you know that scene at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the one where the camera follows a lonely worker as he goes to place a wooden crate containing the Lost Ark of the Covenant somewhere deep inside a warehouse filled with scores and scores and scores of similar crates? Well, walking into Bottles is a lot like that, but imagine if each one of those crates was filled with glorious, wondrous alcohol and could be purchased for a few farthings. (OK. We joke. The prices are cheap at Bottles, but they’re not that cheap.) The locally owned shop has pretty much every single brand you could ever want — whether it’s Naked Turtle rum or Angel’s Envy bourbon or South Africa’s Amarula. They even offer lots of locally made booze for you to buy, good stuff like Sullivan’s Gin, Dark Corner Moonshine, Maverick Gin, Pearlz Vodka, Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, Sea Island Rum, and Virgil Kaine Bourbon. The best part: That’s just one side of the shop. The other is a wonderland of beer and wine.
