Best Burger

Five Guys Burgers & Fries

March 10, 2010

This locally owned and operated franchise has won the burger wars by keeping it simple, piling fresh ground beef onto buttered buns, and topping with your favorite condiments.

This place should be in category called "Best Burger-Fast Food". Fact is, there is NO PLACE in the Charleston area where you can get a properly cooked-to-order burger, CONSISTENTLY.

I have to agree with Yolatengo. The burgers here are not very good. I only went there once. They press their patties flat and the meat sticks to the metal, they press them down with, then you get robbed of meat. The fries weren't too bad though.

Agree on the fast food thought.... but you CAN get an properly cooked-to-order pretty-perfect burger consistently at Poe's Tavern, Seels (Off the Hook), 39 Rue de Jean, or Neil Jordan's (and probably a few more I don't know about). Any of these places deserve the title of Best Burger over Five Guys.
