After riding with former Olympian and world champion cyclist George Hincapie in a 100K bike ride to raise money for cancer, former L20 Chef Laurent Gras joined Chef Ken Vedrinski in his kitchen at Trattoria Lucca to prepare a four-course dinner last fall. The collaboration came after the two were featured in a Food and Wine story on the fittest chefs in America. Both being cyclists, Vedrinski thought he'd invite the Chicago-based Gras to town by telling him he'd get a chance to meet and ride with Hincapie. It worked, and Charleston got a chance to experience top chefs without having to leave the comfort of their hometown. We love it when that happens.
