Jamie Lin Snider is a girl who sticks to her word. When we highlighted her as a One to Watch in our 2010 Fall Arts Guide, she told us she wanted to open a store on Upper King Street, a place where she could sell her own designs (plus vintage) and where she could showcase other members of the local creative community. Within about a year, her prediction came true, and we couldn't be happier. You'll find Snider's own avant garde pieces, many of which have graced the catwalk of Charleston Fashion Week, as well as trendy used items, jewelry, and other accessories, and even homemade soaps. And she hosts monthly parties in her spacious backyard on the first Friday of the month, with live music and an artisan marketplace. She better not go anywhere anytime soon.
