Stono Ferry suffered a long, eight-year horse-racing drought until November, when the Charleston Cup returned to its grounds. The steeplechase featured beautiful horses and their jockeys racing around a track, jumping over fences and ditches. Attendees camped out along the course, showing off spreads of everything from Bojangles and Budweiser to catered canapes with the finest bourbon. Here's hoping we don't have to wait another eight years for more horse-racing action in the Lowcountry.
