We wanted to like Zocalo, and we bet Park Circle wanted to like it too. But the place never gelled. It seemed empty most nights, despite the cool patio and the central location smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood that has limited options for dining out. Apparently, the folks at Daniel Island Grill recognized the struggle of Zocalo — and the potential of the location. A few months back they stepped in and decided that what Park Circle needed was a sports bar with plenty of TVs and lots of beer. Turns out they were right. DIG in the Park has found many admirers, and now the place is packed with fans, families, and neighbors looking to watch the game and eat some good grub.
