At 36, newly appointed Mt. Pleasant Town Administrator Eric DeMoura is the same age as predecessor Mac Burdette was when Burdette took on the role. He may seem young, but DeMoura has already accomplished a lot in the East Cooper town. He spent four years serving as deputy town administrator and three years as deputy director of administrative services, overseeing the construction of the Memorial Waterfront Park. DeMoura eschews political infighting and short-term remedies and embraces the idea of community and fellowship. He's looking like one of finest new characters in the local political scene.
