We all know the real reason why all of us go to ice hockey games — we wanna see the fights. And if we’re super lucky, we won’t even spill our beer when we leap into the air, fist pumping for the home team. Fortunately for us, the Stingrays offer more than just the usual ice hockey fun, because these guys are actually good. This past month, the Stingrays earned the title of second-longest winning streak in North American professional hockey. Woo! The cool thing about ice hockey is that it can be played year-round, which is imperative in Charleston’s climate. And with the convenience of ice-skating rinks (check out Carolina Ice Palace in North Charleston), you can practice pushing a puck around on your own, and, well, work on the whole skating thing, too.
