Union Provisions had a tough first year. Two critical reviews (one from CP, the other from Post & Courier’s Hanna Raskin) plus the loss of their chef within days of opening made for a rough start. But one thing Union Provisions got right is the decor. The building, designed by Thompson Young Design, is gorgeous. Three huge windows look out onto King Street, honeycomb tiles line the floor, and a carefully placed wine wall hides the bathrooms. It’s a feast for the eyes.
