There’s really not much competition here. It’s pretty safe to say that Will Judd ate more soft-shell crabs than anyone else in Charleston during March and April 2017. At our last count, he’d consumed 46 with no signs of slowing down. Forty-six of anything over a few weeks is a lot, but we can’t exactly fault Will for making the most of the plentiful softie harvest this season, even if they are a tad pricier than usual. Some rib him about whether eating 50 crabs (mostly fried) in six weeks is a good idea, but as he says, “at least pizza isn’t seasonal!” —Sam Spence
