The Griffon has become one of the go-to lunch spots for several of us at the City Paper. And it's not because of the beer, although we think they've got a more than respectable selection. We go there because the folks at the Griffon serve up some mighty tasty country cooking. No lie. From the fried chicken to the mac and cheese to the green beans, the kitchen at this English-style pub knows how to please fans of Southern food. You need to go there. Now.
