Anyone cruising up the Intra-Coastal Waterway along the backside of the Isle of Palms will tell you that a quick stop at the recently renovated Isle of Palms Marina is a must. The current proprietors call it the "perfect place to tie up and wind down." The Marina offers dozens of fully equipped slips, a double-wide public boat ramp, and well-lit floating docks. Boaters can stock up on provisions and fuel with ease at this sizeable facility. Inside, the general store is stocked with boating supplies, souvenirs, ice cream, boiled peanuts, beer, wine, and soft drinks. The store aims for more than basic groceries and supplies; it's actually luxurious in spots with private showers, elegant restrooms, and a comfortable lounge with cable TV and complimentary wireless internet, and the concession area serves breakfast and lunch. They also have boat rentals, custom boat excursions, and inshore and offshore fishing charters. It's adjacent to the Morgan Creek Grill, which offers a great chance for boaters to dock and dine in style.
