We're happy to see the revitalization that's well under way on Upper King Street. This past year, several new spots have opened — The Grocery, Mercury Bar, HoM, The Macintosh — and plenty more are on the way, like Stars, the new venture from Southend's Keith Jones. The empty buildings at the corner of King and Morris are seeing intense interest from restaurateurs, but the most exciting news has been the restaurant planned for the old Bank of America building by the guys behind FIG, Mike Lata and Adam Nemirow. They've built FIG into the hottest restaurant in town, and we expect them to work their magic with an oyster bar concept that promises to be pretty awesome.
