Butcher & Bee’s new light-filled, airy space on Morrison is reason enough to make a lunch date, but the mezze plate really seals the deal. It’s not the cheapest meal you’ll eat this week, but it will probably be the tastiest. For $14 you get a choice of three mezze plus pita ($5.50 for a la carte mezze). We’ll admit, we could use more pita, but if you order the crispy stuffed olives, you won’t miss the fluffy triangles too much. Stuffed with anchovy, lemon, pesto, and Parmesan, you don’t have to like half of the ingredients to enjoy these savory, fried, delectable little poppers. Seriously, give one to your most olive averse friend and they’ll eat the whole plate. Get some to-go, and serve them at your next Mad Hatter tea party. —Mary Scott Hardaway
