We partake in CSAs every once in a while — there’s no thriftier way to eat local while getting your daily dose of fruits and veggies. And if we’re being honest, sometimes we get a little sick of all the kale. We don’t know if Park Cafe’s wine director Mike Morris was seeking out something other than leafy greens when he started the restaurant’s wine CSA, but we sure are glad he likes grapes. An NYC native, Morris didn’t think that Charleston had enough of a quality wine selection. Enter the wine CSA, a program Morris launched last year so that customers could try yummy wines he didn’t have room for on Park Cafe’s menu. —Connelly Hardaway
