Friday will be a sad day for Charleston's contemporary art fans: It's the day two of our favorite local galleries are hosting their final art shows.

SCOOP Studios hosts a holiday party and closing event from 5-8 p.m. (but Saturday is technically their final day in business). We hear that "Let's Make A Deihl" (a reference to co-owner Colleen Deihl) will be in effect all day and night. They'll also be open by appointment through Dec. 23. Call (843) 577-3292.

Later that evening, from 7-11 p.m., Eye Level Art hosts their final art show. Since the Beginning is a group show featuring Nicholas Bowers, Will Kiser, Scott Debus, Evan Armstrong, John Pundt, and others. Charlotte's Elonzo Band will perform. If you don't make it out Friday, ELA's very very last show is the next night with Sequoyah Prep School and Antique Firearms. Call (843) 425-3576 for more info.
