Arts organizations know that creating the best artistic community takes ideas, hard work, and cooperation. And, unfortunately, money.

The South Carolina Arts Commission and the Columbia Design League are teaming up to host Jason Schupbach, the Director of Design for the National Endowment of the Arts, for a free conference call on Oct. 16 to discuss grant opportunities for design projects. Since its inception, the NEA has helped provide more than $4 billion in grants to communities that want to promote arts and innovation. The City of Charleston recently received $100k from the NEA to help create the Galliard Center Arts Precinct.

Representatives from organizations and local governments from around the state can connect to the call, and there are twenty seats available in person at the South Carolina Arts Commission on a first-come, first-served basis.

To get more information on how to connect to the call, contact Shawna Bauer at sbauer@arts.sc.gov or (803) 734-8687.
