Celebrate Halloween early during the Charleston County Public Library's Star Wars Reads Day, which will be held on Oct. 5 from 12 to 4 p.m. The event will kick off the library's One Book campaign, which encourages locals to read and discuss a chosen book each year. This year's book is Divergent by Veronica Roth, a story of a futuristic society where residents are separated into five distinct groups determined by their beliefs and inclinations.

The day's events include a costume contest and photo opps with your favorite costumed Star Wars characters, plus games like Nerfherding, a Clones and Droids hunt, and Stormtrooper bowling. At 3 p.m., the library will show the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars in the Teen room. You can munch on themed treats and make crafts too.
