Lifetime’s hit drama Army Wives is scheduled to start filming its seventh season this month, but they'll be missing a key player. According to Michael Ausiello at TVLine, Executive Producer Jeff Melvoin confirms that Kim Delaney, who’s starred as Claudia Joy Holden since the beginning, will not be returning. She’ll be killed off in the season premiere, which means the rest of the season will take an unexpected turn.
Delaney's departure comes us a shock to us, seeing as how she reportedly bought a house on the Battery last year.
We have reached out to Army Wives reps for confirmation.
No one can fill the void of Delaney, but if you're interested in being an extra on the show, producers are now accepting applications. They’re seeking men, women, and children of all ages and ethnicities for the paid positions. Filming will continue through mid-May. You can register at extrassignup.com. Be sure to include two photos — a head-shot and full body shot — with your application.
