David Sedaris fans take note: The hilarious New York Times-bestselling author is set to release his next book Oct. 5. And if you bring it to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center a few weeks later, you might just be able to get him to sign it.
We’re not really sure where David gets all of his material — funny just seems to follow him around. He entered the public eye when he read his Santaland Diaries, about working as an elf at Macy’s, on NPR. He went on to gain fans with autobiographical books like Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, which cover everything from growing up in a giant half-Greek family and living in Paris with his partner, Hugh. He’ll be reading all-new stories from his latest, Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary. —Erica Jackson
