Free Friday Family Fest

When: Fri., Sept. 24, 5-8 p.m. 2010

No one ever asks a kid what they want to do on a Friday night. Adults can make happy hour plans, set movie dates, or just choose to fall asleep on the couch. What about children? I’m sure they’d like to check out the Free Friday Family Fest, hosted by the Junior League of Charleston, at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry. The evening includes free admission to the museum, giving you a chance to enjoy exhibits like the Medieval Creativity Castle, TREEscape, Pirates!, the Charleston Market, and more. Plus, there’ll be a jump castle (provided by Happily Ever After), games, and crafts. Parents won’t even have to worry about dinner — Chick-Fil-A of James Island (and their well-known cow) have got it under control. Arrive early: The first 150 families get a pass for free future admission and a free book. —Susan Cohen
