Harvest Moon

When: Fri., Nov. 19, 7-10 p.m. 2010

It’s a big weekend for the Halsey. The night after the Citizen Architect screening, the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art hosts another event: Harvest Moon, the organization’s sixth annual membership party. Citizen Architect score composer Jake Fussell supplies the night’s music, while members have the opportunity to view Chris Jordan’s excellent Running the Numbers: An American Self-Portrait exhibition and meet other art aficionados. As part of the Halsey’s Bluesphere: Earth Art Expo, the institute’s recent sustainability program, the event features local food and organic beer and wine. In addition, six new prints will be inducted into the Hall of Patron Prints as part of the Patron Print Program. The event is open to new and current members. If you’re not a member and want to become one, head to halsey.cofc.edu or sign up at the door. The night is exclusively for current members or guests who purchase memberships that night. Memberships are $15 for students and $30 for adults. —Jansen Cumbie
