Daniel Kennerty is anything but a hands-off gentleman farmer. With fields cultivated (literally) in the front yard of his home, his operation is a throwback to how farming once was. Kennerty opened the farm after attending Clemson University. Asparagus (green and purple) is his primary crop, accompanied by squash blossoms, greens, peppers, and tomatoes. Kennerty supplies restaurants like Slightly North of Broad, Oak Steakhouse, Magnolias, Indaco, Macintosh, and more with produce and honey (produced by Allie Crosby from the bees that pollinate his fields), and he sells to the public at the Charleston Farmers Market.
