When: Wednesdays, 8 p.m.
Since Christmas Eve falls on a Wednesday this year, we thought our cheap night of comedy was ruined. But the Christmas elves over at Theatre 99 have saved the day and moved Laugh for a Lincoln to Saturday instead. And let’s be honest, we’re going to need some cheer after all that family time. Taking the stage after a round of Improv Riot — which starts at 8 p.m., costs $12, and features five or six Theatre 99 comedians — this go-round of the $5 funny night will feature improv group Little Miss Co-Dependent, starring Theatre 99 co-founder Brandy Sullivan and Jessica Mickey. Joining the ladies on stage will be another one or two still-to-be-determined acts. “The times always have an effect on the show, whether it’s Easter or Election Day — because it’s in the moment,” Sullivan says. “I have no idea what’s going to happen, but I bet there’ll be Christmas, Hanukkah, or New Year’s jokes.
