Jazz hands. No, this show is not miscategorized. The play tells the story of famous jazz men Miles Davis and John Coltrane during the creation of their album Kind of Blue.

From the queen city. The show is presented by On Q Productions, an African-American theater company based in Charlotte, N.C. It was launched in 2006 by Quentin "Q" Talley, a star of the city's slam poetry scene.

Triple threat. Miles & Coltrane: Blue(.) is a multimedia event, featuring work from artist collectives Concrete Generation and God City, dancers Jhe Russell and Randolph Ward, and the Stephen Gordon Quintet.
