When: Sun., Dec. 22, 7:30 p.m. 2013
Science is more than breeding pea plants and learning about neuron processes. Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage from Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters are on the road to get you up-close-and-personal with the more fun aspects of our worst school subject. Since 2003, Hyneman and Savage have been testing claims and old wives’ tales from movies, news stories, and the internet to see how they hold up in the real world. With a massive budget, they produce experiments that usually include blowing up cars or shooting gelatin-crafted bodies with various objects. The crew that proved toilet seats are the cleanest place in a house and that double-dipping chips isn’t that bad are on a new tour to conduct more experiments onstage. Hyneman and Savage will be asking for audience participation and offering behind-the-scenes stories about the process to confirm or bust a claim.
