Local-born street artist Shepard Fairey just about lost his cool in a video posted on TMZ.com last week. When asked if he still went out and installed all of his own art, his wife, who was accompanying him, answered on his behalf. “A long time ago,” she sighed. Fairey, who was drinking a soda, stopped mid-sip, gave her a death stare, and said, “What are you doing? Don’t answer stuff!”
Best known for his Barack Obama Hope poster and the OBEY campaign, Fairey was once part of the Charleston art and skating scene. Rumors are he might return to town for a future exhibit.
