King Dusko is getting in on the Spoleto scene this year with InstrumentHead, a pop-up exhibition by portrait artist Michael Weintrob. The show features portraits of musicians like Bootsy Collins, Derek Trucks, and Scott Avett, as well as locals Sol Driven Train, posing with their instruments covering their faces.

Weintrob is a music and portrait photographer who's shot icons like Billy Idol and Willie Nelson. The idea behind this show, he says in a statement, is "to blur the boundaries between each individual personality and the tools of their trade."

The show opens to the public Friday, May 30 with a grand opening celebration. King Dusko will also host a closing party on June 8. Fittingly, guests will be able to enjoy live music while they check out the photos, and a portion of the gallery proceeds will benefit the Music Maker Foundation.
