The Art Institute of Charleston (24 N. Market St.) will hold an art show benefitting Mother Emanuel on Fri. Dec. 4 with all proceeds donated to the Honorable Rev. Clementa C. Pinckney Foundation, which supports the religious, educational, and charitable causes that the late Rev. Clementa C. Pinckney. The event, An Evening of Hope, runs from 6-9 p.m. with regular admission for $15 and VIP tickets for $25.

The art show will feature a fashion show, art installation, silent auction, and poetry reading by South Carolina's Poet Laureate Marjory Wentworth.

The fashion show, Dresses for Hope, will present purple and white dresses designed by fashion students. The art installation, titled "9 Empty Chairs," will be on display along with other student artwork.
