TEDxCharleston, the Lowcountry's own version of a TED talk, will be held on Oct. 19 at the Charleston Music Hall. The theme: tipping Points, shifts that can impact Charleston and the world.
TEDxCharleston also announced this year's emcee, Derreck Kayongo, who spoke at 2014's TEDxCharleston event. Kayongo was also chosen as a CNN hero in 2001, for his work as founder of the Global Soap Project, an organization that recycles soap and distributes it to developing countries around the world. Watch Kayongo's 2014 talk below.
Tickets go on sale later this summer — they're $65 a pop — but you don't want to miss your chance to grab one as soon as they go on sale. After all, last year's event sold out in 12 hours.
Stay tuned for more ticket info coming later this summer.
