You can snag hand-pulled screen printed T-shirts featuring delicate hands.
We love Chambers Austelle's art (and not just because her husband Matt Dobie writes for us) — her images of the female form are stunning. On Mon. Oct. 4 her online shop launches at 10 a.m. where you can peruse acrylic, chalk pastel, and wax pastel works on paper as well as hand-pulled, screen printed unisex T-shirts. Austelle is also selling two limited edition prints that are signed and printed — for just $100 each.
We wrote about Austelle's exhibit, Birdcage
, at Beresford Studios this past February. She told City Paper
, "I'm interested in how women are treated in our society. It's always something, even from when I was a child, that I questioned. Because we live in the South people would say, 'Oh that's just how it's done.' And I'd say, 'Oh I don't think so!'"
Before the online shop opens you can peruse Austelle's works online.
