Carly Zakin (left) and Danielle Weisberg will bring their Skimm Night Out tour to Charleston
On June 25, the co-founders of the Skimm, a media group that grew out of a wildly popular morning newsletter geared toward Millennial women, are stopping in Charleston at the Gaillard Center during their 10-city the Skimm Night Out tour, showcasing their debut book, How to Skimm Your Life.
Carly Zakin and Danielle Weisberg, co-founders of the Skimm, will be hosting a night of helpful and entertaining conversations, leaving audiences to feel empowered about making all types of decisions like negotiating a salary, creating a smaller budget, or something as simple as picking out the right bottle of wine.
On the tour, Zakin and Weisberg will also share their experience and journey to building the Skimm, which has grown to some 7 million subscribers since launching in 2012.
The book, How to Skimm Your Life
, is an extension of the company's app, and maintains the same goal of helping its readers through decision-making moments to make informed and empowered choices.
"Our goal with this book is to empower readers to take action on important decisions you make as an adult," said Zakin and Weisberg. "We are so excited to travel the country, sharing our own experiences in the hopes that attendees walk away learning something they can apply in their own lives."
