Say what you want about summer, there are few seasons that boast such colorful, delicious local produce and vibrant (some may even say hot) colors in the flora and fauna of our fair city.

SNOB harnesses this vibrancy in a special evening on Aug. 8, 6-8 p.m. where guests can enjoy small plates and live painting at the Miller Gallery. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online.

SNOB executive sous chef Meg Hutchinson will prepare colorful small plates while two local artists, Rachael Nerney and Julia Deckman, paint live in the gallery. House red and white wine will be served and after the event guests are invited to make their way to SNOB to keep the party going with summer peach sangria.

The artists are a fitting match for the event: Nerney's art is inspired by culinary delights (just check out some of her work, from avocados to lemons her pieces are fun and colorful) and Deckman's primarily oil paintings are inspired by by light and color.
