Hey, it's Monday, and if you're in the F&B world, today might just be part of your weekend, a day that's all about resting and relaxing.
If that's the case, and you like to golf, you might want to pull a foursome together to play next Monday, Jan. 30 at the Ocean Course on Kiawah, considered one of the best courses in the country. They're hosting the "Food for Thought Polar Bear Golf Tournament."
Normally, rates to golf out there are ridiculously high. For F&Bers next Monday, you can play for $125. (Foursomes are $500.) And the cool part is that half of every entry fee will go directly to Charleston Chefs Feed the Need, a hospitality industry coalition that serves hot meals and fights hunger, week in and week out, at four area nonprofits — Tri-County Family Ministries, East Cooper Meals on Wheels, Crisis Ministries, and Neighborhood House.
After the tournament, the clubhouse will host a reception with food donated by Sysco, Crosby Seafood, Cherry Point Seafood, Inland Seafood, International Gourmet Foods, Southern Foods, Ben Arnold, and Southern Wine & Spirits.
