The colder months seem to betray us, keeping the farmers markets closed and our fruit bowls empty. Well, Northwoods Mall has found a temporary farmers-market-fix with their “Farm to Table” Saturdays during February and March, where the motto is “keep it fresh, keep it local.”
On select dates local growers, producers, and food craftsmen will set up shop in the warmth of the indoors throughout the mall, so you can get a Saturday night outfit and some grocery goods in a one-stop-shop trip to the Northwoods Mall — without having to bring that extra sweater.
Although the pursuit of fresh produce is still underway, there are vendors involved with craft goods like fresh canned foods, homemade cobbler, and specialty infused olive oil, just to name a few. New vendors show up every week, so drop by more than once to get a variety of offerings.
