She’s your mom. No matter what you call her — ma, momma, mother, mommy — she raised you, and now, you have to take her to brunch. So where do you take the number one woman in your life on her designated day?

If your mom likes a little music with her brunch, why not try Swamp Fox Restaurant and Bar? For $42 there's a buffet full of delicious treats such as fingerling potatoes, fennel salad, and goat cheese grits. There will also be a carving station and desserts such as pecan pie and coconut cake. For adults, the cost of the ticket includes a Bloody Mary or mimosa. Children are also welcome and their tickets are $15. Kids 4 and under are free. Call for reservations.

Have you tried High Cotton? For Mom's brunch, $32 gets you two courses, and your choice of either a mimosa or dessert. Your first course could be a house-smoked salmon plate, Charleston crab soup, or crispy fried oysters. Entrees include a farmers market omelet or Carolina shrimp and grits. If you’re over mimosa’s and prefer to eat your calories, don’t miss the white chocolate pot de creme with chocolate truffles. Call for reservations.

In any house, Mom is the queen. And you always listen to the Queen. So treat her as such at 82 Queen where she can indulge in dishes like the restaurants specialty, she-crab soup, chocolate chip pancakes, or a portobello benedict. Call for reservations.

Treat tua madre to brunch the Italian way at Coda del Pesce on Isle of Palms. From 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Mother’s day there will be a family style brunch served. And in true Italian fashion, there will be molto cibo. Four robust courses from antipasto straight through to dessert. Coda del Pesce is known for their seafood dishes, so expect a heavy influence from the ocean in your dishes. Tickets are $48 per person and reservations can be made in advance.

Chef Michael Perez’s breakfast pie has caramelized onions, tomatoes, and farm eggs coming together into a medley that will make your mother happy that you took her to Indaco for Mother’s Day brunch. Call for reservations and brunch will be served from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. There will be $1 bottomless bellinis for moms.

Oak Steakhouse's brunch includes their infamous mascarpone and strawberry stuffed French toast topped with warm pecan-maple syrup and a side of Applewood bacon. Otherwise you may choose from an Alaskan King Crab Benedict, or the Maine Lobster Frittata which has mozzarella, basil, tomato, fresh egg, and field greens in it. If your mom is a hearty eater Oak Steakhouse can satisfy her appetite with a Certified Angus Beef Tenderloin with scrambled eggs, potato pancakes, roasted tomatoes and sauce bearnaise. Oak is serving brunch between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Call or visit their website to make reservations.

If your mom is more of a do-er than a watcher, bring her out to Southern Season for a cooking class. Class begins at 11 a.m. and you will be preparing wild mushroom and spinach crepes, Charleston crab cakes with grits, and blueberry-lemon sweet rolls all while sipping mimosas.

Caviar and Bananas is also introducing a brand new brunch menu and just in time for Mother’s Day. On the menu there are lemon oatmeal pancakes with warm cherry compote, the B.E.L.T. — a bacon duo, fried egg, arugula, heirloom tomato, black pepper aioli on sourdough sammy. If your mom wants a downtown meal with an uptown feel, she can order the Diner Plate which comes with two eggs any style, a choice of bacon, a choice of a side, and a buttermilk biscuit for $9.50. Brunch will be served on Sundays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.

If you can’t make brunch happen, try dinner at Opal and Langdon’s Restaurants in Mt. Pleasant. Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at both eateries and full menus will be available. Opal’s Mother’s Day specials include a North Carolina trout with English peas and a bacon-brown butter vinaigrette, a shrimp and avocado salad with Bibb lettuce, tomatoes, and tarragon aioli. Langdon’s Mother’s Day specials include a jumbo lump crab cake with mango-poblano relish and jalapeno aioli, garlic-chile shrimp with romaine, hand-torn croutons, peppers and caesar dressing. Call or visit website for reservations.
