Neighborhood Dining Group (NDG) reports today that Minero
is moving. The Mexican restaurant Sean Brock and Co. opened back in October is shifting from 155 East Bay St. to McCrady's gallery event space located on the second floor of the restaurant in August.
In a press release, NDG writes:
"The space will include 90 seats total with 16 seats at the bar and additional booth seating. The new entrance will be located on East Bay Street a few steps from its current entrance. The menu will remain the same."
Over on Charleston Eater,
Erin Perkins has speculated that Minero's former home will become a burger place created to showcase Brock's iconic Husk cheeseburger. However, NDG would not confirm that rumor and says that the future of the space has yet to be decided.
Incidentally, the restaurant shift also means McCrady's long room will also no longer be used as an event space. Which raises the question, who gets the huge "Washington Crossing the Delaware" print hanging on the room's back wall? Dibs.
