Those days when you can't quench your need for an afternoon protein blast are over, because Ruth’s Chris Steak House
in Charleston starts serving lunch tomorrow. Start lining up now, because grizzly Ron Swanson-types from all over Charleston are being awoken from their hibernation slumbers and groggily making their way towards Market Street.
Executive chef Jonathan Kaldas
will be offering signature dishes like the New York Strip Sandwich served on a French baguette with cremini mushrooms, caramelized onions, swiss cheese, and a creamy horseradish sauce. He'll also serve up his take on the Charleston favorite, shrimp and grits, sautéed in Ruth’s signature barbecue sauce and accented with bacon and green onions, and served over jalapeño-cheese grits cakes. For a (slightly) lighter meal try the black and blue steak salad that features beef tenderloin tips served over iceberg lettuce wedges and finished with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles.

Celebrate that it’s summertime — and that any time of the day is a socially acceptable time to start drinking — with a refreshing cocktail like the Blueberry Spiced Mojito, a conglomeration of Sailor Jerry spiced rum, muddled blueberries, fresh mint, ginger ale, and a splash of soda, or try the Palmetto Breeze, a cocktail shaken with Pisco Portón, fresh mint, pineapple juice, cucumber, house-made lemon sour, and soda.
