It’s that time of year again. Pigskins fly through the air as we try desperately to understand the rules regarding offside tackles and reverse first downs. Wait, what? If football isn’t really your thing, we highly recommend joining a fantasy football team. Sounds counter-intuitive, right? Well, it’s actually the best thing to hit football since Bruce Smith (yeah, we know some stuff). Fantasy football draft parties allow you and your friends to pick some random football players, create a fake team, drink beer, and eat tons of chicken wings. We told you it was fun.

Whether you're a fantasy football fanatic, or you're brand-new to the whole thing, we've got you covered for the best bars and restaurants to hold your draft parties. And remember, the regular season starts on Sep. 10, so get your league together before then.

The Alley
For $50 per person guests can enjoy well liquor, choice of two domestic beers and one import beer, a wing platter, spinach dip, and a slider platter in a reserved private space. The fantasy draft party lasts for three hours and comes with a server for your group, wifi, and a 60-inch TV to link up to a computer. Email carrie@bowlthealley.com for more information.

Bay Street Biergarten
There’s no fee to book the space. Guests get 15 percent off a minimum bar tab as well as a free draft kit. Email eva@baystreetbiergarten.com for more information.

Red’s Ice House
Red’s really wants you to hold your draft party here — just for bringing your friends out for a few hours to pick players, Red’s will hook you up with a table, a pigskin platter (chicken wings, chicken fingers, salsa, queso, chips, and hushpuppies) and two buckets of Bud Light or Bud Heavy, as well as a draft board with stickers. Wowza. Call (843) 388-0003 for more info.

Liberty Tap Room
Liberty tap room will set you up at a large table or in one of their private rooms with a draft kit for free if you hold your draft party here. Call (843) 971-7777 for more info.

Charleston Beer Works
For $35 you and your pals can get a pitcher of Bud Light or Bud Heavy (see a trend here?), 25 wings, and a draft board. Call (843) 577-5885 for more info.

Kickin' Chicken (all locations)
If you book your draft party at any Kickin' Chicken location you'll get two free pitchers of Shock Top, two free select appetizers, and free wifi. The minimum party size is eight people. Call any Chicken location for more info.

King Street Grille, King Street Public House, and Mac's Place tell us that they've got package plans but they haven't worked out the details yet. Check back for more info or call and heckle them yourselves.

Wild Wing Cafe (all locations)

Call any Wild Wing Charleston location to book a draft party — they've got both basic and ultimate packages.
The Basic is free and includes: one domestic draft per person, appetizers to share, draft board and sticker.
The Ultimate is $20/person and includes: everything in the Basic package plus four drink tickets per person, tailgate tackle platters, and a catered watch party.

If your restaurant or bar is hosting draft parties email connelly@charlestoncitypaper.com and we'll get ya on this list.
