Say what you will about Halls, but there's no denying the popularity of the restaurant's Gospel Brunch. The Sunday special, featuring the Plantation Singers, is a highly coveted reservation that sells out typically two weeks in advance. But now brunchers looking for some hymns with their home fries will have two chances to hear the professional a cappella group. Halls sister property High Cotton is adding a Saturday Gospel Brunch beginning this weekend.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. every Saturday the 199 East Bay Street restaurant will offer the soulful service with a menu featuring crab cakes benedict, steak and eggs, and farmers market omelets. The addition of the Plantation Singers to High Cotton is just one of the subtle changes Hall Management Group has made since purchasing High Cotton, Old Village Post House, S.N.O.B. and High Cotton Greenville from Maverick Southern Kitchens this spring. No word on whether Billy Hall will be manning the door next.

Reservations for High Cotton's Saturday Gospel Brunch can be made at (843) 724-3815.
