Rutledge Cab Co. is now offering breakfast from their new trailer
Those racing up Rutledge Avenue to work this morning might have a reason to stop. Rutledge Cab Co. opened a coffee and breakfast sandwich trailer in their parking lot at 1300 Rutledge Avenue this morning.
The menu is simple — egg sandwiches and drip coffee — but we have our suspicions that this could be the beginning of the restaurant's promised Food Truck O'Rama.
In April Rutledge Cab Co. owner Brad Creger confirmed that he and owners Mike Veeck and Bill Murray were planning a food truck headquarters at 2130 Mt. Pleasant St.
"We'll provide all the creature comforts you don't get at a food truck rodeo," Creger said at the time. "The building will act as a hub for trucks to park and we'll provide bathrooms, music, and seating."
Little more has been reported on the business plans since that initial post, but with the opening of RCC's own mobile food unit, perhaps the new breakfast trailer will grease the wheels of the project.
RCC's breakfast and coffee trailer will be open daily from 7-10 a.m.
