If you, like many of us, are mourning the loss of David Bowie today, we have something that might help. Tonight actor, comedian, and playwright David Lee Nelson is manning the bar at O'Hara & Flynn (225 Meeting St.) and he's promised to play nothing but Bowie music.
"Come have a glass and pay your respects to one of the great artists of the past 100 years," Nelson wrote on his Facebook page this morning.
Nelson, who is PURE Theatre's playwright-in-residence, says Bowie was one of his heroes.
"Creating art requires you to be so vulnerable. Especially if you're trying to reinvent yourself and do something different. David Bowie spent a lifetime trying to do something different. Even with his last album," says Nelson. "If I have 1 percent of his artistic courage, I'll consider myself lucky."
