Butcher & Bee 2.0 opens tonight at 4 p.m.
Contain your rage, NoMo haters. I bring you good tidings of great bacon-wrapped dates joy. Butcher & Bee's new Morrison Drive location opens today at 4 p.m. The restaurant will be open for dinner on Wed., Thurs., Sat., and Sun. and will begin lunch service in June.
Originally designed to be a restaurant called The Workshop, owner Michael Shemtov changed his plans shortly after launching a failed Kickstarter campaign to fund the artists designing many of the elements in the new 1085 Morrison Drive location as well as at his new Butcher & Bee Nashville location — things like a hand-made stereo system at B&B Nashville designed by Hazelwood Laboratories and a special installation for The Workshop from Charleston artist Becca Barnet of Sisal & Tow. The new Butcher & Bee (née The Workshop) managed to include Barnet's installation — a giant B&B logo made with nails.
The new B&B will will seat 60 inside with 30 additional seats outside. And unlike it's BYOB predecessor, the new location will serve alcohol. Here's a look at the menu
Located next to Edmund's Oast, B&B 2.0 joins a handful of new spots opening in the neighborhood. Home Team BBQ is now in it's second month of business, the second edition of goat.sheep.cow
. is underway, and construction crews are still furiously working to finish Lewis Barbecue — we've been told the opening is six weeks away.
Then there's the Flagship 3 business incubator at 995 Morrison Drive. It may also have a cafe and coffee shop
. Meanwhile, the latest BAR agenda
reveals a proposed huge mixed-use development for Brigade Street. With all this construction, it's only a matter of time before North Morrison becomes the new Upper King.
