Help support local food systems — while also getting to eat some homegrown goods — at Lowcountry Local First’s Good Farming Initiative’s 12th annual Chef’s Potluck. The potluck, part of the LLF Good Farming Initiative’s Eat Local Month, will take place on Sun. April 28, 4-7 p.m. at Middleton Place.

Early Bird tickets for the all-inclusive event start as low as $80 for LLF Members and $100 for non-members. All children 12 and under get in for free. Ticket prices will be raised March 29 at midnight.

The Chef’s Potluck lineup for 2019 has yet to be released, but past participants have included Edmund's Oast, FIG, The Grocery, Indaco, Poogan's Porch, and Roti Rolls. All attendees will have the chance to listen to live music while treating themselves to local drinks, farm and stable tours, an interactive photo booth, and gorgeous views of America’s oldest landscaped garden. Guests will also be treated to two tastings from each chef using the best locally grown produce of the season.

The purpose of the potluck is to promote enduring relationships between local farmers, chefs, and customers. All proceeds will benefit LLF’s efforts to nurture future local farmers as well as the 190+ Growing New Farmers Program graduates. LLF hopes to draw attention to all that local producers, fishers, and chefs do to make the Lowcountry feel like home.
