Started in 2013 by Louisville Tourism (home of the Derby and beaucoup bourbon), and now hosted by Garden & Gun with partners Maker's Mark and Bourbon Country, Mint Julep Month is an annual, nation-wide celebration of the mint julep running April 4-May 4. Hundreds of bars across the country participate with special events and custom cocktails.

This year, Edmund's Oast head bartender and master mixologist Jayce McConnell is one of the campaign's featured bartenders; you can try his Carthusian Julep, made with Maker's, mint leaves, crushed ice, and chartreuse at EO.
